Rachel Freehling

Landscape Architectural Intern 2018

Rachel is pursuing her undergraduate degree in landscape architecture at the University of Rhode Island with a minor in community planning. Her studies and experiences have spurred an interest in ecological design, sustainability, and urban design.

Prior to joining Living Habitats she worked at Winterthur Gardens, where she gained invaluable knowledge and experience restoring and maintaining the landscapes of Henry DuPont. She has also studied abroad and was also awarded the Urban Design Studio Design Award in Copenhagen, Denmark where she was able to study and appreciate the vibrant urban dynamic of Copenhagen while continuing to explore sustainable design solutions and strategies that leverage alternative technologies and infrastructure.
